london calling

seriously contemplating a spur of the moment trip to london... or scotland... or paris. (or all three?)  ever feel like you just need to get away? like, really, really far away?

it's simple really...

... what if more people made this commitment to themselves, their dreams, their relationships? it is when and only when you find the courage and the heart to push through the hard, uncertain times, that you will reap the rewards of this life.  (at least that's what I believe)

have a happy weekend!

{via * Kitchenist}

Spring is in the air! I'm so excited for the farmers market and various farm stands to start up in my area...  And I'm spending the weekend in a beautiful house on the Santa Barbara coast with a group of friends - all things that make me incredibly HAPPY!  I plan on beachcombing for treasures, cooking some delicious meals and simply being. I hope you get to get out and do some exploring of your own!

bloom.

I'm surrounded by birthday flowers - which is just an amazing thing to be! And I'm loving this new print by Vol. 25. It is a good reminder to not wait until everything is perfect before letting yourself experience life and becoming who you are meant to be. (which I tend to do.)

Vol. 25 has other beautiful artworks printed on canvas paper... check out their etsy shop to see more.

super natural everyday.

I am beyond excited about the new cookbook from Heidi Swanson: Super Natural Everyday.  A friend and I are commited to cooking our way through it - first time for me ever doing this with a cookbook and I can't wait for the experience.  Today I'm starting with Bran Muffins...  AND while I understand that this may sound so incredibly boring to some of you, I have yet to find a recipe for this wholesome breakfast that rivals the 4 pack I buy from my grocery store for $6.  It doesn't call for fruit, but I'm going to try it with blueberries and see what happens.

I can't recommend this book enough.  I was able to attend the book signing in San Francisco at Omnivore Books and wow - I am certainly not the only devoted fan.  It was packed!  But I was able to meet Heidi and now have a signed copy.  So cool.  And if you like cooking and cookbooks and are in San  Francisco, you have got to stop into Omnivore Books.  It was my first visit and I fell in love with the shop...
