She says you can use any jam, but fig jam sounds just perfect. I don't know if I've ever actually tasted it so thinking about this elusive fig jam and where I might find it reminded me of the adorable French restaurant the Girl and the Fig on the square in Sonoma... and lo and behold, they have a variety of fig products to choose from; chutney, jam, you name it. Next, the perfect cheese, which has to be no other than Cowgirl Creamery's Mt. Tam triple cream cheese. OK, double yum. Maybe I'm better off just treating myself to a delicious afternoon snack...
